Default Investment advice please?

A guy in LA was asking riddles. one of them was "Im where yesterday follows today and tomorrows in the middle?" I answered "A dictionary" and got it right, so he gave me an unded gwen. I sold the gwen for 100k. I've never had that much money during my GW career (only been playing for a little over a year).

My question is, what should I do with that money to make it grow? Should I invest in trading more mini pets, ectos, etc.

Thanks for any help!

With just 100k you cant do much, nothing worth buying and spending time reselling is going to be any where near 100k..Just save your money and get more from dungeons/ect. till you have 400k or more before you bother with trying to power trade/invest in things you think will go up.

Don't trade unless you know prices. Read the buy/sell forum in Ventari's to get a faint idea about them, and hang out in Spamadan.

You'd probably be best off buying/selling mid-end minipets. For instance, if you put in some extra effort you might have been able to sell that gwen for 100k+1 or 2 ectos. It's small, but it's a start. Buy low, sell high(er). That's all I can tell you.

1 VERY important thing to know about Lion's Arch/Kamadon trade spamming...

just because people are spaming "WTS item x for 90k" doesn't mean anybody is BUYING item x at 90k.

I'd say 90-95% of the people who spam trying to sell stuff in Kamadon are trying to rip people off, selling stuff at way over inflated prices, and they almost never actually sell anything. That said, take everything you find in Kamadon with a grain of salt.

Really, some of the best investment ideas used to be with materials. Prior to Eye of the North coming out for instance, the price of diamond's tripled as people speculated on their prices, and then crashed to nothing when they started poping out of dungeons all over the place. Its very easy to play the material market if you know enough about the behavior patterns of people in large groups (hint, people who buy rare materials from merchants rather then from players, thus driving their trader prices up, are generally casual players).

there are ways to make it go up, i went from 40k to 205k in 2 days of only playin like a few hours a day,no scaming, just see what people want, buy low, sell high. buy some little things that are under priced, and re-sell for a little more. It takes some time, but it builds up

Dual monitors FTW.

But yes thats a good idea.

Easiest way to power trade with 100k is go to Balts island and try to buy 21 ZKeys for 100k. now sell them for 5k each, your up 5k. But yeah, with 100k not much power trading/investing you can do.

It says here that you need to get extra gold for power trading to become effective. How prey tell to get that extra gold. Farm your but off for 2 weeks straight and you will get lots of Gold to start your power trading.

If you want to become a power trader in Pre-searing start by getting Hunter's ales when an event is not on. Simply kill 2 bears and get 2 hunters ales. I have averaged almost - can not quite get there but so darn close - 2 full stacks of hunter's ales in 2 weeks. Well I get like 485 or 476 or some stupid thing and then I sell them before they are full. I sell them for 25,000 gold a stack or 4 Black dye for the stack. So 6,250 gold for a Black dye. I then sell the black for 7K making 3,000 gold + 25,000 or 28,000 gold per stack.

From there I buy and sell black dyes at 6500 - 6800 gold and i open the gate (for 50 gold per run but that too adds up while waiting to make a sale) after I spam the WTB blacks a couple of times a minute.

Once I reached 30 Black dyes I buy High end weapons and sell them.

I bought a 10-16 Fire wand for 5K from someone leaving pre and turned that into 12 black dye for a profit of 75K or so in one trade. Some people do not know what they have and just exit pre at lvl 10 so the drops they have they just get rid of so that they stay in pre.

You can then turn around and sell that 100K in pre for 150K - 200K in post. This is the Fast money. there are a few people that I will trust with that. One is (name here) he has 3 or more accounts with the same name and is dressed in black and normally can be found in D1 at the merchant. He will buy Pre gold for Post gold at 1-2 last weekend anyway. So you can turn your 500 hunter's ales into 100K +3e in 2 weeks time.

So that is 200K in a month + the 100K you already have and you are all set.

Or you can farm festival items like Charr Carvings. Trade 3 carvings for 1 party animal item and make 200 gold right there. There is a mission that I run and get on average 25 charr carvings +5 to 10 tot bags so after just 2 runs in around 15 minutes I can farm 20K in as little as 1 hour during festival times.

This is what I will be doing come TONIGHT when I get home after work. WOOT Halloween returns

I'd recommend to buy in the morning then re-sell in the afternoon, in the morning prices are lower than in the afternoon so most of the time u can make a profit on whatever u bought/re-sold. When in places like Kamadan is always good to be patient don't jump at the first offer that seems to be "good" just place that as a c/o and spam for another 20-30 min or so who knows u might find a buyer that will offer a bit more.
